ELMG Immediate Needs Programs and Services

ELMG emphasizes the goal of helping single men and women achieve a more stable lifestyle. Outreach workers engage with homeless individuals on the streets, or where they might congregate to provide information about available services and support.

Pathway to Stability: Securing Temporary Housing and Employment

Individuals are matched with a peer mentor, who has gone through similar challenges, individuals gain valuable insights and practical advice on how to break the cycle of:

●Access and navigate local services

●Overcome obstacles and avoid common pitfalls

●Develop coping strategies and resilience

●Build a support network and connections within their community

Peer support is particularly effective in reducing the likelihood of:

●Recurring homelessness

●Incarceration

●Substance abuse

●Mental health issues

  5. Counseling and Mental Health Services: Along with our partnerships we provide access to  therapy, substance abuse counseling, and mental health and medical resources to address underlying issues.

Project Bridge: Permanent Housing and Employment Support

Bridge" signifies connecting individuals to continuous essential services, support while the "Project" aspect indicates a focused initiative to address permanent housing.

  1. Rapid rehousing program: Along with its partnerships, ELMG implements a rapid rehousing program that provides temporary rental assistance and supportive services to help individuals quickly find and maintain permanent housing. The program emphasizes inclusivity, targeting "Everyone or All People," and recognizes that requiring individuals who are not “Informed” or those without “Funds” to come to a fixed location can be counterproductive. Therefore, we operate mobile services to meet individuals where they are, whether they are on the streets or in unregulated encampments. We provide them with available Section 8 applications to ensure they are included and fully informed.

  2. Employment services: ELMG continue to provide employment services, such as job training, resume building, and job placement skills, to help individuals gain stable employment. Its goal is to help individual maintain a “Living Wage” and not dependent on the government.
